Whether you are under GP or Physio care or suffering from sports or non-sports related injury/pain, I will support you with exercises to help your rehabilitation. In addition, I am kinesiology taping certified and where appropriate could apply this to assist in your healing process.
I will guide you to perform a variety of stretches to help restore your muscle length and maximize your flexibility and mobility. In addition, you will work on deep relaxing poses that target your facia and concentrates on mindfulness, to give you an overall sense of well-being.
I offer corporate classes to suit all levels of experience. In this class I incorporate Pilates principles and stretches to benefit your overall well-being.
I have been working with Abi since the autumn of 2018 after a series of back operations and ending with nerve damage causing me to have a drop foot on my left side and numerous numb areas. I turned to Abi for guidance on rehabilitation. My initial objective was to be able to play nine holes of golf which my consultant had said was unlikely. Abi took up the challenge and after 8 months of hard work I managed 18 holes (don't ask the score).
5 years on including the covid years which we worked online, Abi is helping me to remain mobile and still improve my mobility. I look forward to continuing working with her.
Attending sessions with Abi is so much more than just an ordinary fitness class. It's an investment into your current and future musculoskeletal health and wellbeing. Abi is extremely knowledgeable about how to go about working with any issues such as injuries or inflexibilities, not only adapting the class to suit one but also going above and beyond to suggest exercises to do at home. She really cares about each individual. I feel so fortunate that Abi does a weekly class for us at St John's Innovation Centre, where I work.
I first met Abi around 7 or 8 years ago, arriving with a 30 year history of failed attempts by many and varied therapists. to manage my chronic neck /shoulder and back pain. I have seen her weekly since! Abi is extremely professional and what makes her unique is that she has a holistic approach, looking at not just my physical condition each week, but also any stressors etc., which may be affecting my wellbeing. She has knowledge of and access to a wide range of therapies which she uses to tailor each session and has a very detailed eye to ensure all movements / exercises are carried out to avoid further injury She has taught me to understand my body and what I need to do to avoid / manage further injuries. For me, Abi has evolved from my rehab therapist to a fantastic personal trainer. I can't recommend her highly enough.
I decided to have 1:1 sessions with Abi and I never regretted it since. Every session is tailored to my needs and exercises are adjusted to the mechanics of body. Abi has a deep knowledge of anatomy and I feel very safe doing any movements as I know these will be done right with her by my side.
